Eartec Interface to PRO16 FAQ
The Eartec PRO16 Interface is a software-controlled hardware module that links a permanently installed wired partyline intercom system to wireless headsets. It allows production crews to add full-duplex wireless roaming capabilities to an existing wired infrastructure without replacing their current equipment.
The Eartec PRO16 Interface is fully compatible with all major industry-standard wired intercom brands. This includes Clear-Com, Telex/RTS, Blackmagic Design, and other popular 2-wire and 4-wire partyline systems.
The Eartec UltraLITE PRO16 system supports simultaneous, hands-free communication for up to 16 wireless roaming users. By plugging the CMod mini-base into the Eartec Wired Interface, all 16 wireless headsets are bridged directly into the main wired network.
No, Eartec UltraLITE PRO16 headsets do not require beltpacks. They are all-in-one wireless headsets featuring a compact, full-duplex radio transceiver built directly into the earcups, eliminating all external wires and belt-worn hardware.
To mute the microphone, simply flip the microphone boom arm upward. The headset features an internal Auto-Mute switch that cuts audio when the boom is raised past the horizontal position and re-engages it when lowered.
No, the system utilizes advanced Frequency Hopping technology to deliver lightning-fast, zero-delay communication. This prevents interference from local Wi-Fi networks, wireless microphones, or other production radio frequencies at the venue.
Every PRO16 CMod comes complete with a rechargeable Lithium battery and a Multi-Port charging station. The charger features LED indicators that turn from red to green when a battery is fully charged, supporting the system’s 10-hour battery run time.
